Abandoned 2 by Julie Cannings.

Abandoned 2 is a shifter and vampire romance story with all the complications that brings with it.

Barry is a shifter and a pack animal/person, but undergoes an episode in his life that means he has to leave his pack and his family, and to strike out on his own.

As usual, the writing of Ms. Cannings takes us into the protagonists brain, thoughts, and feelings.

Soon after, other stories come into play, or are they other stories or the same one? Twists and turns will keep the reader busy and wanting more. The twists do not take you where you expect to go making this a real page turner.

Ghost Writer.

Laurence is a bat shifter, Juliette an owl shifter, and they are kids in chapter 1, best friends who are then separated through circumstances.

Don't worry though, chapter 2 is 14 years later. Unrequited love after finally reuniting, one has saved themselves for the other but the unrequited love of the in love partner is not for the usual reasons.

A well written novel with references to a few authors that I have read and enjoyed.
